Gas Safe is the National Watchdog for Gas Safety in the United Kingdom.

It is not only illegal for people to work with gas unless they are Gas Safe Registered, it is also highly dangerous; therefore Gas Safe advise all homeoweners the check before allowing anyone into their property to carry out gas related work and insist to see their Gas Safe ID card. The card includes a photograph of the installer and the reverse carries a list of the types of gas work that they are competent to carry out.
